The natural rights of people to defend themselves, true or false?
SCOTUS Chief Justus John Roberts says the right comes from the US Constitution; many say from Nature and Nature's God. Regardless of the decisions of the courts, in the end the decision will rest in what you will submit yourself to. Man has proved repeatedly to be a terrible master; cruel, thoughtless, inept, and self-serving. The thought that a person is not able to equip themselves to defend from being a slave to others is basicly unacceptable to everyone. It is NOT something given from a document, it is a right of nature. An animal will fight to be free from a snare, no less should be expected by any thinking being.
To quote a science fiction novel -
'An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.'
May we continue towards a polite society, with respect for those that we disagree with, and cease the disrespect of divergent views. Love, hope, and peace are much better paths then their polar opposites.
The cure is...
'Don't Panic'! Eat your vegetables, and fruit, take your vitamins & minerals. Get out into the air for exercise. Drink plenty of water, too. In nothing terrified by your adversary, which is a downpayment on his perdition. Bless, don't curse, be thankful, put away resentment. Forgive.
